The Venue Operations Assistant Position is the eyes and hands of the venue. Your duties will keep the venues humming and ready to rock!
This position is responsible for general upkeep, stock and maintenance of both The State Room and The Commonwealth Room. Doing weekly and monthly walk-throughs, with guiding checklists, will help ensure all venues are prepped and in proper functioning order for upcoming events and shows.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Check-in on essential show supplies (i.e., clean, folded, and properly placed show and bar towels, artist and office hospitality snacks, trash liners, water jugs, and so forth)
- Run through all faucets, toilets, paper towel dispensers to ensure they are working properly.
- All seats and lights are in working order.
- Setup and breakdown of events when required (seats, outdoor patios, pipe n’ drape, screen)
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Ordering and restock of inventory items off ‘weekly’ checklist.
- Cleaning supplies – checking in with Artist Operations Manager
- Artist basic hospitality - snacks and drinks
- Office and artist dishware and utensils
- Checking HVAC systems, replacing filters as needed
Show Responsibilities:
- Checking trash and recycling dumpsters are cleared and/or have room for post-show use.
- Running thru the venue(s) to make sure all set up is ready.
- Cleaning up any “messes” from previous shows (i.e., stage towels left on stage, load in area swept and cleared, nothing left by artists in dressing rooms)
- Restocking of paper supplies in backstage bathrooms
- Reporting major potential maintenance issues
This is a part-time hourly paid position starting at $20 per hour plus available benefits. Hours will be flexible but demanding during tour season months. Remember, there is no clock in the music industry.
