Ticketing + Marketing Manager Role | The State Room Presents

Combined duties will fall almost equally between ticketing and marketing departments, with focus flexing wherever seasonal needs are greater.

This is a unique role: we're hoping to hire someone with relevant experience, but we're open to having conversations with applicants whose talents + experience sit tangentially to the outline below.


  • The area in which we’re looking for help with the most creativity is social and vertical content (TikTok / IG Reels and YouTube Shorts)! Help us stay on top of trending content, content creation, and social engagement by keeping our various social channels abundant with fun content for our audience to participate in.
  • Helping maintain radio partner relationships by assisting in writing monthly underwriting messages.
  • Helping manage the house photography pool and monthly schedule upkeep (as well as weekly notations for upcoming photo notes in Airtable).
  • Facebook maintenance (from an organic perspective): posting content to event pages, updating venue banners, checking inbound messages from artists and patrons.
  • Helping craft regular ‘KBYG’ emails for upcoming shows as well as helping implement other email strategies.
  • General website maintenance: creating and updating event pages.
  • Helping maintain our relationship with our printing partners: placing and picking up monthly poster orders and managing inventory in the box office.
  • Upkeep of event calendar postings across the internet: Pollstar, City Weekly, KRCL, Slug Mag, KUAA, etc.
  • Additionally, anything you can dream up, we want to help you execute. See a wall that needs a mural? Pitch us the idea. Your duties and responsibilities when it comes to Ticketing, Box Office, and Customer Support will sometimes include but not always be limited to:

  • Building and managing/auditing/double checking events, with a close eye to the details that make them up in the system.
  • Creating add-ons for events.
  • Updating information regarding patron accessibility needs and reserved ticketing in Airtable.
  • Placing Box Office supplies order for The State Room and The Commonwealth Room.
  • Maintain agency autocounts.
  • Creating and managing NOS scheduled audit & drop reports.
  • Managing the manual processing of Punch Pass and gift card tickets.
  • Running pre-show and post-mortem reports on all shows.
  • Assist with onsite box office operations at The State Room, The Commonwealth Room, Deer Valley, Fort Desolation Fest, etc.
  • Print and drop off tickets to record store partners.
  • Respond to customer support related matters that come in via email.
  • Other ticketing related projects as necessary.
